Saudi Aramco has let contracts to Subsea 7 for projects offshore Saudi Arabia.

Aramco let an engineering, procurement, construction, and installation contract for Marjan Increment Projects—Package 2 to Subsea 7, the service company reported. The contract is for execution in consortium with L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering, a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro. Subsea 7 values its share of the consortium contract at $300-500 million.

The work consists of new tie-in platforms, production deck manifolds, 217 km of rigid pipelines, 145 km of power cables, and a fiber optic cable in Marjan field in 45-52 m of water. Offshore execution is due to take place in 2021 and 2022.

The contract comes on the heels of a recent report of three contracts awarded to the consortium by Aramco under a long-term agreement between the parties. The work consists of a total of 28 jackets comprised of eight new jackets to be installed in Marjan and Zuluf fields, 10 jackets in Safaniya and Zuluf fields (including a pipeline decommissioning scope), and 10 jackets in Zuluf and Ribyan fields. Offshore execution is due to take place in 2020. Subsea 7 valued its share of these contracts at $50-150 million.
