壳牌任命花旗出售其埃及10亿美元资产

据路透社伦敦报道，据知情人士透露，壳牌公司已任命投资银行花旗集团负责出售其埃及陆上油气资产，价格可能在10亿美元左右。

消息人士称，出售程序预计将于11月底正式启动。

壳牌上个月表示，计划出售其在西部沙漠的陆上上游资产，专注于扩大其在埃及的海上天然气勘探。

其中一位消息人士称，西部沙漠的投资组合包括19个油气租赁合同的股权，其中壳牌的运营利益包括去年日产量约10万桶石油当量。

近年来，埃及石油和天然气行业迅速扩张，因为发现了巨大的海上天然气储量，吸引了包括埃尼集团和英国石油公司在内的国际公司的大量投资。

与此同时，埃及老化的石油和天然气资产已经易手。今年早些时候，英国石油公司将其在苏伊士湾石油公司持有数十年的股份出售给了总部位于迪拜的Dragon石油公司。

Shell appoints Citi for $1 billion sale of Egypt assets: sources

Royal Dutch Shell has appointed investment bank Citi to run the sale of its align="justify">The sale process is expected to be officially launched at the end of November, the sources said.

Shell said last month it plans to sell its align="justify">The Western Desert portfolio includes stakes in 19 oil and gas leases of which Shell’s working interest included production of around 100,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day last year, align="justify">Egypt’s oil and gas sector has seen a rapid expansion in recent years after the discovery of vast offshore gas reserves has drawn major investments from international companies including Eni and BP.

At the same time, Egypt’s aging oil and gas assets have changed hands. BP earlier this year sold its decades-old stake in the Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO) to Dubai-based Dragon Oil Ltd.
