ACC：2月美国化学品产量下降0.2%

据油气新闻3月25日消息称，根据美国化学委员会(ACC)的一份新报告，2020年2月，美国的化学产品产量下降了0.2%。

2019年12月下降0.2%，2020年1月上升0.1%。

今年2月，除墨西哥湾沿岸外，美国各地的化学品产量都有所下降。

美国化学品生产区域指数显示，这三个月的化学品生产情况喜忧参半。

有机化学品、塑料树脂、氯碱、其他无机化学品、其他特殊化学品、合成橡胶和人造纤维的3个月移动平均产量趋势有所增加。

这些增长被工业气体、涂料、粘合剂、肥料、合成染料和颜料、作物保护化学品和消费品产量的下降所抵消。

报告说，美国2月份制造业活动持平。制造业活动是化学生产的一个强有力的指标。

US chemical production dropped 0.2% in February: ACC

U.S. chemical production dipped by 0.2% in February 2020, according to a new report from the American Chemistry Council (ACC).

That follows a 0.2% drop in December 2019 and a 0.1% increase in January 2020, it said.

In February, chemical production dipped across the United States except along the Gulf Coast, it said.

The U.S. Chemical Production Regional Index said chemical production over the three months was mixed.

There were gains in the three-month moving average output trend of organic chemicals, plastic resins, chlor-alkali, other inorganic chemicals, other specialty chemicals, synthetic rubber and manufactured fibers.

Those gains were offset by declines in the output of industrial gases, coatings, adhesives, fertilizers, synthetic dyes and pigments, crop protection chemicals and consumer products.

The report said manufacturing activity in the U.S. was flat in February. Manufacturing activity is a strong indicator for chemical production.

U.S. chemical production declined 1.8% from February 2019, the ninth consecutive month of year-over-year declines, it said.
