赫斯租3艘超大型油轮储存北达科他州原油

据彭博新闻社5月7日休斯顿报道，美国著名石油生产商赫斯公司（Hess Corp.）7日表示，由于储油速度太快，一些钻井公司不得不减少了产量。为此，赫斯公司日前租用了3艘超大型油轮来储存其在北达科他州生产的原油。

这家美国著名石油勘探公司说，该公司已经租用了3艘超大型油轮，每艘油轮能够储存5月、6月和7月产自北达科他州巴肯页岩油田的约200万桶原油。赫斯公司7日在第一季度财报中表示，该公司预计将在今年第4季度出售这些储存起来的原油。

由于各国城市为应对疫情仍处于封闭状态，石油生产商被迫关闭或削减产量。据挪威雷斯塔能源公司的数据，美国石油公司已宣布5月份每天关闭61.6万桶原油产量。6月份，这一数字升至65.5万桶/天。

赫斯公司的一名代表表示，将装载赫斯公司5月份生产的原油的超大型油轮已经停靠在墨西哥湾。另外两艘超大型油轮将在晚点时候抵达墨西哥湾。

Hess charters supertankers to store its North Dakota crude

Hess is chartering a trio of supertankers to hold its North Dakota crude production as rapidly filling storage forces some drillers to curtail output.

The U.S. oil explorer said it has enlisted three very-large crude carriers that will each store about 2 million barrels of oil produced in May, June and July from the Bakken shale field in North Dakota. Hess then expects to sell those volumes in the fourth quarter of this year, the company said Thursday in its first-quarter earnings statement.

As cities remain locked down in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, oil producers are being forced to shut in or curtail output. Companies have announced 616,000 barrels of oil per day worth of May shut-ins, according to Rystad Energy. In June, that rises to 655,000 barrels a day.

The VLCC that will hold Hess’s May production is already in the Gulf of Mexico, according to a representative for the company. The other two will arrive later.
